How to change your Turbolock code

Turbolock offers several smart door locks that provide a convenient and secure way to control access to your home. What makes them great is you can set your own access code. Here’s how to change the Turbolock code on your lock.

 

You might want to change the code on your Turbolock to provide temporary access to guests or contractors. If you suspect someone has gained unauthorized access to your home, you can easily change the code and secure the main entrance to your property.

 

We’ll explain how to change the Turbolock code, providing a general guide you can use with most of the company’s models. Using these steps, you can easily change the code and ensure that your property remains secure.

 

 

Turbolock TL114

You can use up to 10 programmable passcodes with the Turbolock TL114. The codes are stored directly on the electronic deadbolt until you remove them.

 

Changing the Admin passcode

The Admin Passcode must always be exactly 6 digits long and the default Admin Passcode is ‘123456’. You must change the Admin Passcode as part of the installation process.

  1. Press the ‘#’ on the keypad
  2. Enter the current Admin Passcode, then press ‘#’
  3. Voice navigation will guide you through the process “To set up an Admin Passcode, please press 1”
  4. Enter ‘1’, then press ‘#’
  5. Enter the new Admin Passcode, then press ‘#’
  6. After the voice confirmation (“Success”), the new Admin Passcode is saved
  7. Test the new Admin Passcode to confirm the modification was successful.

 

The passcode must be entered while the keypad backlight is on. If it goes out, you’ll need to start the process again at Step 1. If the Admin Passcode is lost or forgotten, the lock may be reset.

 

Adding keypad passcodes

You can create up to 10 passcodes (1 admin, 9 users). Anyone with the code can unlock the TL114 until you delete that passcode. Again, codes must be 6 digits long.

  1. Press ‘#’ on the keypad, and enter the current Admin Passcode
  2. Then press ‘#’ again. Voice navigation will guide you to adding keypad passcodes “To set up a user passcode, please press 2”
  3. Enter ‘2’, then press ‘#’. Follow the voice prompt: “Please enter the new user passcode”
  4. Enter a new keypad passcode, and then press ‘#’. After the voice confirmation (“Success”), the new passcode is saved
  5. You can create multiple passcodes (up to 9 total) so long as the keypad backlight remains on. If the keypad backlight turns off, you must go back to Step 1 to create a new keypad passcode
  6. Test the new passcode(s) to confirm the modification was successful.

 

Delete a single passcode

If you want to delete a single code, follow these steps:

  1. Press ‘#’ on the keypad, and enter the current Admin Passcode
  2. Next, press ‘#’ again. Voice navigation will guide you through the process: “To delete a user passcode, please press 3”
  3. Enter ‘3’, then press ‘#’ before the keypad turns off
  4. Before the keypad turns off, enter the passcode you want to delete, then press ‘#’
  5. After the voice confirmation (“Success”), the old passcode should be deleted
  6. Test the old passcode. It should now be unusable.

 

Delete all passcodes

If you need to delete all codes, follow these steps:

  1. Press ‘#’ on the keypad, and enter the current Admin Passcode
  2. Next, press ‘#’ again
  3. Voice navigation will guide you through the process: “To erase all user passcodes, please press 4”
  4. Enter ‘4’, then press ‘#’ before the keypad turns off
  5. After the voice confirmation (“All user passcodes successfully deleted”), the keypad will turn off. All passcodes are now deleted
  6. Test all previous keypad passcodes. They should now be unusable.

 

Passcode disguise

If you’re concerned about passcode theft, this function is an added security feature that will help you stay safe.

 

With Passcode Disguise, enter 12 digits into the keypad. As long as the correct passcode sequence is entered, regardless of how many digits were entered before or afterwards, the TL114 will unlock.

 

For example, if your user passcode is “080808”, you can successfully unlock the TL114 by entering “11354080808”, “11080808”, “10808081” and so on.

 

 

Turbolock TL115

The process of changing codes with the Turbolock TL115 is exactly the same as with the TL114. You can still programme up to 10 codes (1 admin, 9 users). A major difference is you can also use a key or the app to gain access.

 

The Turbolock Plus app is compatible with most Android and iOS smartphones. It grants access to all of TL115’s features. Using the app, you can unlock the TL115, create and send passcodes (E-Keys), track unlocking records and more.

 

App installation

  1. Search for the “Turbolock Plus” app in the Google Play or App Store
  2. Download and install the app
  3. Turn on your smartphone’s Bluetooth
  4. Register for an account and reopen the app.

 

Pairing

To pair for the first time:

  1. Open the app
  2. Tap the plus icon on the lock list screen
  3. Select the lock
  4. The app will begin pairing
  5. Tap any confirmation messages as needed.

 

Pairing to another smartphone

To pair a different smartphone with the lock, you must reset the lock using the steps below. Resetting the lock will revert the Admin Passcode to the default and delete all user and keypad passcodes.

 

After the new smartphone is paired to the lock, the previous phone will no longer have Admin privileges.

 

For App operations, there is only one admin, but there can be multiple users:

  1. Press ‘#’ on the keypad, enter your current Admin Passcode
  2. Tap ‘#’ again to enter Set up mode. Follow the prompts or the steps below to reset the lock
  3. Press ‘5’ then ‘#’. The TL115 will reset and enter the sleep mode
  4. Open the app, tap the plus icon on the lock list screen
  5. Select the lock
  6. The app will begin pairing
  7. Tap any confirmation messages as needed. The TL115 might beep and open upon pairing for the first time.

 

Using the app

The app allows you to set and delete codes. You can even send e-codes and so manage remote access with ease.

 

To generate a code using the App:

  1. Open the app
  2. Tap Send Key icon to enter the Send E-Key screen
  3. Next, tap “Keypad Code” to enter the Send Keypad Code screen.
  4. Set the Code Usage limits (between 1 and 3): 1 for one-time use, 2 for two-time use, and so on
  5. Tap Generate.

 

You may generate up to 300 temporary (keypad) passcodes (100 for each Code Usage). After reaching this limit, you will not be able to create any new passcodes until you tap Reset Temp Passcode option in the app home screen.

 

Managing user passcodes (E-Keys)

User Passcodes (E-Keys) are generated on the Turbolock Plus app by the Admin and sent to a user. That user must install the Turbolck Plus app on their smartphone and register for an account.

 

E-Keys can be permanent or have time restrictions, at the Admin’s discretion. To Generate E-Keys in the app:

  1. Open the app
  2. Tap Send Key icon to enter the Send E-Key screen
  3. Enter the user’s E-mail or phone number (whichever the user registered with)
  4. Select Scheduled E-Key if you wish for the E-Key to be temporary. Otherwise, select Permanent E-Key.

 

Permanent E-Keys can be deleted on the Manage E-Keys section of the app.

 

 

Turbolock TL116

You can open the Turbolock TL116 smart door lock with a key or code. There are 10 programmable passcodes (1 admin, 9 users) that easy to set using the built-in keypad.

 

Changing the Admin passcode

The Admin Passcode must always be exactly 6 digits long, and the default Admin Passcode is ‘123456’. You must change the Admin Passcode from the manufacturer default during the installation process.

  1. Press the unlock button on the keypad
  2. Enter the current Admin Passcode
  3. Press the unlock button. Voice navigation will guide you through the process: “To set up an Admin Passcode, please press 1
  4. Enter ‘1’, then press the unlock button
  5. Enter the new Admin Passcode, then press the unlock button. After the voice confirmation (“Success”), the new Admin Passcode is saved
  6. Test the new Admin Passcode to confirm the modification was successful.

 

You must enter the new Passcode while the keypad backlight is on. If it goes out, you’ll need to start again at Step 1. If you forget the Admin Passcode, you can reset the lock.

 

Adding keypad passcodes

You can easily generate keypad passcodes to allow other people access as needed. Be warned, anyone with the keypad passcode can unlock the TL116 until the keypad passcode is deleted.

 

The admin must create codes for users and they must be 6 digits long. The TL116 can hold up to 9 keypad passcodes.

  1. Press the unlock button
  2. Enter the current Admin Passcode
  3. Press the unlock button again. Voice navigation will guide you through the process: “To set up a user passcode, please press 2”
  4. Enter ‘2’
  5. Press the unlock button and follow the voice prompt: “Please enter the new user passcode”
  6. Enter a new keypad passcode, and press the unlock button. After the voice confirmation (“Success”), the new passcode has been saved
  7. Test the new passcode(s) to confirm the modification was successful.

You can create multiple passcodes (up to 9 total) as long as the keypad backlight is still on. If the keypad backlight turns off, you must go back to Step 1 to create a new keypad passcode.

 

Delete a single passcode

Deleting a single code is very simple:

  1. Press the unlock button on the keypad
  2. Enter the current Admin Passcode
  3. Press the unlock button again. Voice navigation will guide you through the process: “To delete a user passcode, please press 3”
  4. Before the keypad turns off, enter the passcode you want to delete
  5. Press the unlock button
  6. After the voice confirmation (“Success”), the old passcode should be deleted
  7. Test the old Passcode. It should now be unusable.

 

Delete all passcodes

To delete all passcodes saved on your Turbolock, simply follow these steps:

  1. Press the unlock button on the keypad
  2. Enter the current Admin Passcode
  3. Press the unlock button again. Voice navigation will guide you through the process: “To erase all user passcodes, please press 4”
  4. Enter ‘4’
  5. Press the unlock button before the keypad turns off
  6. After the voice confirmation (“All user passcodes successfully deleted”), the keypad will turn off. All passcodes are now deleted
  7. Test all previous keypad passcodes. They should now be unusable.

 

Passcode disguise

Designed to prevent code theft, Passcode Disguise allows you to enter up to 12 digits into the keypad. As long as you use the correct Passcode, regardless of how many digits were entered before or afterwards, the TL116 will unlock.

You can open the Turbolock TL117 with a key or one of the 10 available programmable passcodes (1 admin, 9 users). In terms of adding, changing, or deleting passcodes, the TL117 follows the exact same process as the Turbolock TL116 listed above.

Use either the keypad or a key to open/close the Turbolock TL-201. You can programme up to 20 user codes (1 admin, 19 users) or a physical key (3 included) for entry access. More than 1 million unique keyless entry combinations are available.

 

Changing the Admin password

The admin passwords must be 4~6 digits long, and the default Admin Password is ‘123456’. You must change the admin password as part of the installation process.

  1. Ensure the TL-201 is fully unlocked
  2. Use the keypad to enter the default (‘123456’) or current Admin Password
  3. Press the Unlock button
  4. Wait for the backlight to flash red and then blue again. Quickly enter ‘1’ and press the Unlock button before the light turns off
  5. Enter the new Admin Password
  6. Press the Unlock button. The lock should beep to confirm the change
  7. Test the new password.

 

You must enter the new password while the blue backlight is on. If it goes out, begin again at Step 1.

 

Adding user passwords

The admin must create passwords for users. You shouldn’t use the same code for admin and user passcodes.

  1. Ensure the TL-201 is fully unlocked
  2. Use the keypad to enter the current Admin Password
  3. Press the Unlock button
  4. Wait for the backlight to flash red and then blue again
  5. Quickly enter ‘2’ and press the Unlock button before the light turns off
  6. Enter the new 4~6 digit user password
  7. Press the Unlock button. The lock will beep to confirm the password was added
  8. Repeat step 3 with different passwords to add multiple user passwords (up to 20 at a time). You must enter all passwords while the backlight remains on
  9. Passwords can now be given to users as needed.

 

Changing user passwords

To change user passwords, you must use the current user passwords to open the lock first. User passwords must be 4-6 digits long.

  1. Ensure the TL-201 is fully unlocked
  2. Use the keypad to enter the current User Password
  3. Press the Unlock button
  4. Wait for the backlight to flash red and then blue again
  5. Quickly enter ‘3’ and press the Unlock button before the light turns off
  6. Enter the new 4~6 digit user password
  7. Press the Unlock button. The lock will beep to confirm the change
  8. Test the new password afterwards.

 

Deleting all user passwords

  1. Ensure the TL-201 is fully unlocked
  2. Use the keypad to enter the current Admin Password
  3. Press the Unlock button
  4. The lock should beep and the backlight should turn blue again
  5. Quickly enter ‘4’ and press the Unlock button before the light turns off
  6. All user passwords will then be erased.

 

Disguising your password

As an added security feature, this option helps prevent password theft. With Passcode Disguise, you may enter 12 digits into the keypad. As long as the correct password sequence is entered, regardless of how many digits were entered before or after, the TL201 will unlock.

 

For example, if your user password is “0808”, you can enter digits before and/or after entering “0808” to confuse any unwanted party who may be watching. In this case, “113540808”, “108081”, “208082256977”, and so on will all successfully open the door while concealing your password.

Offering both passcodes and physical keys, the Turbolock TL-111 is versatile. The TL-111 will last up to 365 days of regular use with just four AAA batteries. And you can power it using the micro USB port in the case of dead batteries.

 

Changing the Admin passcode

The admin passcode must be 6 digits long, and the default admin passcode is ‘123456’. During installation, you must change the admin passcode to something unique.

  1. Press the ‘#’ on the keypad
  2. Enter the default (‘123456’) or the current admin passcode
  3. Press ‘#’ and the TL-111 will beep 3 times to indicate it’s in set-up mode
  4. Enter ‘1’, then press ‘#’
  5. Enter the new admin passcode and press ‘#’. The TL-111 will beep 3 times, indicating a successful operation
  6. Test the new admin passcode.

 

You must enter the new passcode while the keypad backlight is on. If it goes out, begin again at Step 1. You can reset the lock if the admin passcode is lost or forgotten.

 

Adding keypad passcodes

You can add new keypad passcodes to allow more people can gain entry access as needed. Anyone with the keypad passcode can unlock the TL-111 until you delete the code.

 

The admin must create passcodes for users. They must be 4 or 6 digits long. You can store up to 10 codes (1 admin, 9 users).

  1. Press ‘#’ on the keypad
  2. Enter the current admin passcode
  3. Press ‘#’ again and it will beep 3 times
  4. Enter ‘2’ then press ‘#’. It will beep 3 times, indicating success
  5. Enter the keypad passcode, and then press ‘#’. The TL-111 will beep 3 times to indicate a new passcode has been saved
  6. Test the new passcode(s).

 

You can create up to 9 keypad passcodes, so long as the keypad is still backlit. If the keypad backlight turns off, you must go back to step 1 to create a new keypad passcode.

 

Delete a single passcode

  1. Press ‘#’ on the keypad
  2. Enter the current admin passcode and press ‘#’ again
  3. It will beep 3 times
  4. Enter ‘3’, then press ‘#’ before the keypad turns off
  5. Before the keypad turns off, enter the keypad passcode you wish to delete
  6. Next press ‘#’
  7. After another 3 beeps, the keypad will turn off, and the passcode will be deleted
  8. Test the old passcode. It should now be unusable.

 

Delete all passcodes

  1. Press ‘#’ on the keypad
  2. Enter the current admin passcode and press ‘#’ again
  3. The unit will beep 3 times
  4. Enter ‘4’, then press ‘#’ before the keypad turns off
  5. After another 3 beeps, the keypad will turn off and all passcodes will be deleted
  6. Test all previous keypad passcodes. They should now be unusable.

Easy to install, you can programme the Turbolock YL-99 keyless door lock with 10 codes (1 admin, 9 users). Exactly 3 seconds after being opened, the electronic door lock will automatically lock behind you. It’s also equipped with a backup battery port should your batteries run out.

 

General Master code

The master code is the most important code in the series as it is needed to set up all other codes. All codes can be a maximum of 15 digits including the sequence number.

 

The sequence number for the master code is ‘0′. So, you must ensure this is the first digit of your code. The remainder may be any combination of digits from ‘0-9’. The default master code is ‘0123’.

  1. To unlock the lock with the master code for the first time:
  2. Enter the code ‘0123’
  3. Press the ‘#’ key
  4. You’ll hear a sound the green indicator will light up
  5. The lock is unlocked and will return to the locked position immediately after the sound stops.

 

Remember, the door should always be ajar when adding and/or changing codes.

 

Changing the Master code

  1. Enter the default (‘0123’) or the current master code
  2. Press the ‘#’ key
  3. Wait until the beeping sound stops but the blue backlight remains on
  4. Enter a new master code starting with ‘0’ and press the ‘*’ key.
  5. The lock will emit two beeps to confirm the code has been successfully saved.

 

If the master code is lost or forgotten, it may be deleted via a hard reset of the lock.

 

Setting The User Codes

Follow the instructions below to set a user code:

  1. Enter the current master code
  2. Press the ‘#’ key
  3. Wait until the beeping sound stops and the blue backlight remains on
  4. Enter a new user code starting with its sequence number and press the ‘*’ key. i.e. the first user code should start with ‘1’, the second should start with ‘2’, and so on
  5. The lock will emit two beeps to confirm the code has been successfully saved
  6. If required, repeat the steps above until all eight user codes ‘1-8’ have been successfully set.

 

You must enter each user code while the blue backlight is on. If the light goes out, you must re-enter the master code to unlock the lock again before proceeding.

 

Changing User codes

Set a user code by following the instructions below:

  1. Enter the user code you want to change
  2. Press the ‘#’ key
  3. Wait until the beeping sound stops and the blue backlight remains on
  4. Enter the new user code and press the ‘*’ key. The lock will emit two beeps to confirm the code has been successfully saved.

 

The new user code must have the same sequence number as the prior code i.e. if the previous user code started with ‘1’, the new user code must still begin with ‘1’. first.

 

Deleting User codes

To delete an individual user code, follow the instructions below:

  1. Enter the master code
  2. Press the ‘#’ key
  3. Wait until the beeping sound stops and the blue backlight remains on
  4. Enter ‘0000’ and the sequence number of the code you want to delete
  5. Press the ‘*’ key e.g. to delete the user code starting with one, enter ‘00001’. The lock will emit several beeps to confirm the selected user code has been erased
  6. You can then repeat the steps above to delete any other user codes.

 

If multiple user codes are lost, forgotten or otherwise should be erased, you can delete them using a soft or hard reset of the lock.

 

Disguising your code

As an added security feature, you can ensure you keep any codes private while being entered.

  1. Enter the first digit of the code you want to enter.
  2. Randomly enter any number of digits to confuse the observer.
  3. Enter the remainder of the code, followed by the ‘#’ key.

 

For example: Your code is ‘333’. Enter the first digit ‘3’. Next, randomly enter any digits to confuse the observer. Enter the remainder of the code: ‘33’ and press ‘#’.
